Suzuki Swish 125 Suzuki Swish has been out of our market for a long time now, but it seems the brand is preparing to bring it back.  The 2018 version of the Swish was showcased this year at the Tokyo Motor Show. It is now sportier than before with LED headlamps with LED DRL and LED tail lamp.  The Swish is expected to have a fully-digital instrument console and suspension will be handled by telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the back.  It will ride on 10-inch alloy wheels. You can also expect a convenient external fuel filler cap. It is likely to be powered by a 125cc engine, the same that powers the Access 125.

Researchers at Queen Mary University of London have discovered that cells can 'walk' on liquids a bit like the way geckos stick to other surfaces. Cells are typically grown on solid materials, such as tissue culture plastic, degradable polymers and bioceramics. It is thought that the strong mechanical properties of these biomaterials are required to allow cell adhesion, an important process often controlling the behaviour of stem cells and promoting implant incorporation by surrounding tissues and tissue regeneration. In this study, published in  Nano Letters , the researchers report the successful growth of skin cells at the surface of liquid oil droplets. This is surprising as the low viscosity of liquids is not thought to support the mechanical forces generated by cells during their adhesion. Eye Tribe Eye tracking has been actively discussed by technology enthusiasts throughout these years, but it’s really challenging to implement. But  Eye Tribe  actually did this. They successfully created the technology to allow you to control your tablet, play flight simulator, and even slice fruits in Fruit Ninja only with your eye movements. It’s basically taking the common eye-tracking technology and combining it with a front-facing camera plus some serious computer-vision algorithm, and voila, fruit slicing done with the eyes! A live demo was done in LeWeb this year and we may actually be able to see it in in action in mobile devices in 2013. Currently the company is still seeking partnership to bring this sci-fi tech into the consumer market but you and I know that this product is simply too awesome to fail.

Adidas Futurecraft 4D Imagine a shoe that lets you run faster, pivot better and jump higher. That’s the idea behind the  Futurecraft 4D , a new sneaker from Adidas whose midsole can be expertly tailored to the needs of its wearers—not only in size and shape, but also in flexibility, impact type, cushioning and more. The key is the 3-D printing process, which enables Adidas to“look at every single square millimeter of a midsole and tune it from a performance standpoint,” says Al VanNoy, who headed the project. It would take weeks to make those modifications using traditional shoemaking methods. But the Futurecraft 4D midsoles can be printed in as little as two hours, meaning Adidas could even produce them in stores. At least that’s a possibility for the future. For now, Adidas is rolling out a standardized version (based on 17 years’ worth of data from runners) beginning in mid-December.
